LIVING & DINING

The Barn is an upside down house boasting a bright open-plan living space on the first floor taking advantage of the high ceilings of original exposed oak beams which create a beautiful architectural feature and compliment the modern décor.

With modern amenities including two ovens and five hob rings, the rustic-yet-chic kitchen with a large central island ensures meal time preparations are an absolute pleasure. There are BBQ facilities for those who rather enjoy cooking al fresco. Make use of the island bar style seating or the more formal dining table indoors, or take the celebrations outside. With the living space opening out onto a modern glass-rimmed balcony terrace, you and your guests can soak up the views of the rolling Sussex countryside as you unwind.

Forage fruit from the grounds of the Estate, where apple and plum trees, blackberry bushes and an abundance of herbs flourish each in their own season. Fresh, delicious local farm produce is also available nearby, as well as refreshing quenchers from the neighbouring Wiston Vineyard.

BEDROOMS

The Barn can accommodate 8 adults, and an additional 4 children. The ground floor boasts four inviting bedrooms, each named after animals you are likely to encounter during your stay: Pheasant, Rabbit, Stag and Duck.

Pheasant offers a kingsize bed, with an en-suite shower room and TV. Rabbit features two singles with the option to pull out another and sliding doors that lead to the ground floor terrace and gardens. The second double is Stag, which also has direct access to the gardens, while Duck contains a designer triple bunk bed incorporating a small lower bed suitable for a toddler.

For those requiring extra sleeping space, Woodpecker, the open mezzanine accessed by a paddle staircase overlooking the living space, has a pull-out double sofa bed. There is a spacious, modern family-sized bathroom with a separate bath and shower.

FACILITIES

Take advantage of the expansive grounds where you can enjoy the zip wire or play tennis, football, cricket or croquet. If you explore the woods, you’ll stumble across the treehouse.

The Barn boasts a six-person outdoor hot tub, where you can take some well-needed respite, or clink glasses with friends or family as you relax and gaze out onto the tranquil grounds. Enjoy Honeybridge’s very own fishing lake which is safe for open water swimming, recline in the hammock and admire the sweeping views.

The Games Room, shared with the House and Cottage, is equipped with a snooker table, table football and a wide selection of board games, puzzles and toys.
